Sears Point Raceway
The 2010 Vintage Volvo Challenge will be run at Sears Point Raceway (Infineon) in Sonoma with CSRG on April 9,10, and 11th. We will have all pre 1972 Volvo production cars competing as well as Volvo powered specials and Volvo powered Marcos. We may even have a Saab or two! Several of these cars will be historically significant and the race will be dedicated to two famous highly successful early US Volvo racers. Art Riley and Walter Cronkite both passed in 2009 and were well into their 90's.
We welcome all Volvo Clubs and individuals to display their cars in the dedicated Car Corral at the track. Limited accommodations are offered at a deep discount at the nearby Novato Oaks Inn. Mention the "2010 Vintage Volvo Challenge" when you call (800) 625-7466 and the rate will be $109 including Breakfast.
We will also be having a no host dinner Saturday night at the Indian Valley Golf Club in Novato. There is limited seating for 150 but we have the whole place to ourselves.
